Verdite Sphere, 11.4cm

A polished verdite sphere, 11.4cm across. Verdite is a deep, rich green stone, and this piece is characteristically dark — forest green shading towards near-black in the denser areas, broken up by lighter green mottling and fine darker veining. The polish is high, so the sphere reads glossy and slightly translucent at the edges.
