A quartz sphere on a dark brown wooden stand, 11cm high overall. The crystal is translucent with the soft internal cloudiness natural quartz carries, so it glows rather than sparkles, and the polish throws back bright rectangular highlights from overhead light. A good desk- or shelf-sized piece: big enough to stand on its own, small enough not to crowd a surface.
